The traditional slurry wastewater treatment process for sand (coal) washing plants uses filtration, but only large particles of sediment can be precipitated, but small particles in slurry wastewater cannot be solidified and precipitated. Therefore, special coagulant products need to be used for the treatment of sand (coal) washing plant wastewater.
The main function of sand(coal) washing coagulants is to separate mud and water. Nowadays, it is common to use centrifuges to separate mud and water. When adding a dosage, we usually add a special coagulant, combined with polyacrylamide. The slurry precipitation flocculant used in the mine sand (coal) washing industry is a transparent viscous liquid that replaces polyaluminum chloride. Typically, this substance is added to muddy water, combined with PAM, and placed in a belt, plate, and frame centrifuge to achieve rapid muddy water separation, efficient utilization of water , and efficient sludge dewatering rates.
The characteristics of mine mud sewage depend on its composition and are related to local geological conditions. Normally , the mud appearance is earthy yellow, uniform and viscous, it remains stationary for a long time without stratification, specific gravity is between 1.20 and 1.46 ( the specific gravity of yellow sand is 1.6); The mud content is 20% - 30%; PH value: 6-7. These slurries come from construction piling, sand fields, tunnels, caves, mine tailings, etc.
The sand(coal) washing coagulant can help to destabilize the surface charge of sand (coal) particles, reduce the electromotive potential, and agglomerate and precipitate. The flocculation mechanism of mud separation precipitant is that after the adsorption group is adsorbed onto the surface of sediment particles, the molecular chains are bridged and entangled to precipitate. If the sediment content in sand(coal) washing wastewater is low, it is easy to achieve sedimentation. If it is high, there is no obvious layering phenomenon. It is recommended to conduct a lab test before using, calculate the dosage and cost.

Application method and notes:
1) When single used , a dilute solution should be prepared, general use concentration is 0.5% - 0.05% (referring to the solid content).
2) When treating different source water and sewage, the dosage is based on the turbidity and concentration of the treated water. The optimal dosage can be obtained through lab tests.
3) Careful selection of the placement and mixing speed is required to ensure uniform mixing with the material while avoiding the crushing of the floc.
4) Continuous dosing is needed.
5)The product is non flammable and explosive. It should be stored at room temperature and not exposed to the sun.
6) This product may be layered after long-term storage, use after mixing will not affect the effect.
Package and storage:
The package is 1000 kg IBC.
The product should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment . Shelf life is 6 months at room temperature.
