What's the way to handle the high - chroma wastewater of the printing and dyeing plant?
What's the way to handle the high - chroma wastewater of the printing and dyeing plant?
Printing and dyeing factories serve as crucial production facilities for textile dyeing and printing. Nevertheless, the significant pollution caused by high concentrations of dyes and pigments can inflict severe harm on water bodies and ecosystems.   Consequently, printing and dyeing factories are obliged to treat the high-chroma wastewater they produce. The high-chroma wastewater from printing and dyeing factories refers to the wastewater that contains a substantial amount of dyes and pigments generated during the printing and dyeing processes. Traditional wastewater treatment techniques have relatively limited efficacy when it comes to dealing with high-chroma wastewater. Hence, specific decolorizing agents are required for its treatment. The application of decolorizing agents can remarkably decrease the chroma and dye concentration of the wastewater, enabling it to comply with environmental standards.   By virtue of mechanisms such as physical adsorption, chemical reactions, or coprecipitation, the decolorizing agent can rapidly transfer or transform the dyes into harmless substances, thereby achieving an efficient decolorization effect.   The utilization of decolorizing agents can lower the content of dyes and pigments in the wastewater, thus reducing environmental pollution and ecological damage.   Treating the high-chroma wastewater in printing and dyeing factories with decolorizing agents plays a vital role in environmental protection and sustainable development. Through the treatment with decolorizing agents, printing and dyeing factories can effectively reduce the chroma and dye concentration of the wastewater, meet environmental requirements, and mitigate their impact on the aquatic ecosystem.

Pros and Cons of Different Types of Defoamers
Pros and Cons of Different Types of Defoamers
Organic defoamers, including mineral oils, amides, low alcohols, fatty acids, fatty acid esters, and phosphate esters, were studied and applied at an earlier stage. They belong to the first generation of defoamers. These defoamers have the advantages of easily available raw materials, good environmental performance, and low production costs. However, they also have drawbacks such as low defoaming efficiency, strong specificity, and strict usage conditions.   The polyether defoamer is the second generation of defoamers. It mainly consists of straight-chain polyethers, polyethers with alcohol or ammonia as the initiator, and polyether derivatives with end-group esterification. The most prominent advantage of polyether defoamers is their strong anti-foaming capacity. Moreover, some polyether defoamers possess excellent properties like high temperature resistance, strong resistance to acids and alkalis. Nevertheless, their usage conditions are restricted by temperature, their application fields are relatively narrow, their defoaming ability is not strong, and the bubble-breaking rate is low.   Silicone defoamers (the third generation of defoamers) have numerous advantages, such as strong defoaming performance, rapid defoaming ability, low volatility, no toxicity to the environment, no physiological inertia, and a wide range of applications. Therefore, they have broad application prospects and huge market potential. However, their foam suppression performance is not satisfactory.   Polyether-modified polysiloxane defoamers simultaneously possess the advantages of polyether defoamers and silicone defoamers, and they represent the development direction of defoamers. In some cases, they can even be reused based on their reverse solubility. However, there are only a few types of such defoamers, which are still in the research and development stage, and the production cost is relatively high.

Calculation of Decolorizing Agent Dosage Amount
Calculation of Decolorizing Agent Dosage Amount
How to calculate the dosage amount of decolorizing agent?     1. Dosage Calculation of Reagent (PPM) The formula for calculating the reagent dosage in parts per million (PPM) is: Dosage (PPM) = [(Number of drops / 20) × Dilution concentration / Volume of test wastewater] × 10⁶   ★ PPM represents one part per million. A dosage of 1 PPM means 1 gram of reagent is added to 1 ton of wastewater. ★ 1 mL of diluted solution is equivalent to 20 drops.     2. Experimental Procedure Take 200 mL of test wastewater (chroma: 200, COD: 110) using a beaker. Adjust the pH value to 8. Add 10 drops of decolorizing agent solution using a dropper (1 mL = 20 drops) and stir. Add 12 drops of PAC (Polyaluminum Chloride) and stir. Add 2 drops of PAM (Polyacrylamide) and stir. Let the solution stand for 1 minute.     Results:   Chroma: 4 (measured using the dilution multiple method) COD: 85 The results meet the national emission standards.       3. Reagent Preparation Dosage   Decolorizing agent: 2% solution (diluted 50 times) PAC: 2% solution PAM: 1‰ aqueous solution   Calculations: Decolorizing agent dosage = [(10/20) × 2% / 200] × 10⁶ = 50 PPM PAC dosage = [(12/20) × 2% / 200] × 10⁶ = 60 PPM PAM dosage = [(2/20) × 1‰ / 200] × 10⁶ = 0.5 PPM   Interpretation:   Decolorizing agent: 50 PPM = 50 grams of stock solution per ton of wastewater. PAC: 60 PPM = 60 grams of stock solution per ton of wastewater. PAM: 0.5 PPM = 0.5 grams of stock solution per ton of wastewater.

Three levels of wastewater treatment
Three levels of wastewater treatment
A complete and efficient wastewater treatment system can be divided into three levels: primary treatment, secondary treatment and tertiary treatment.   1.Primary treatment The primary treatment is the bottom of the whole wastewater treatment system, which is mainly used to remove the large suspended solids in the water. Physical method is most frequently used. Alum or carbon block is usually used to remove the large suspended solids in the wastewater. The adsorbed wastewater will enter the secondary treatment.   2.Secondary treatment Secondary treatment refers to remove the colloidal and dissolved organic pollutants in the water with biochemical treatment method, and precipitate the organic pollutants in the water. The treated sewage basically meets the discharge requirements and can meet the recycling requirements for specific purposes.   3. Tertiary treatment. The tertiary treatment is the highest level of wastewater treatment. Wastewater will be decontaminated to the maximum in this process. Tertiary treatment, also known as advanced treatment, is mainly for dissolving organic matter and dissolved salts in wastewater that are difficult to be biodegraded. After this process, the water quality is good and can be directly put into use in industrial production, and the purpose of wastewater treatment is basically achieved.

Why to carry out paper coating processing
Why to carry out paper coating processing
A: After calendering, the paper fiber is no longer loosely arranged, but has a certain degree of tightness, but the surface smoothness still can not meet the requirements of high-grade fine printing. The surface uniformity of uncoated paper is poor. After printing, the ink color is uneven, and the glossiness is low. It can not restore the fine dot, resulting in layer loss, and the uniformity of the field part of the image will be reduced, which will affect the printing reproduction effect. Therefore, the fine printing paper must be coated to further improve the surface performance of the paper.

Sizing principle of AKD emulsion
Sizing principle of AKD emulsion
The biggest advantage of AKD sizing: calcium carbonate can be used as filler, improve the whiteness, opacity, folding resistance, surface strength, durability and printing performance of paper   Disadvantages: the brittleness of paper is reduced   The sizing mechanism of AKD: when the AKD emulsion is added to the slurry, the sizing particles are dispersed in the slurry, and a lot of sizing particles form larger flocs. These flocs are adsorbed on the surface of fibers and fillers, then these paper materials are kept in the wet end.   In the drying part, AKD particles melt and expand on the surface of the fiber, and the reactive functional groups on the molecule face the fiber, forming irreversible keto group with the fiber; the hydrophobic group part outward, making the paper water-resistant.
